Through our Heritage programming, we guide women on journeys of ancestral reconnection — through storytelling, ritual, genealogy exploration, and the sacred practice of remembering.

The African Diaspora is not one story — it is thousands. Here are just a few of the great peoples and civilizations whose blood, wisdom, and spirit flow through us.
Ghana & Côte d'Ivoire
The Akan People
The Akan are the source of the Sankofa symbol and the Adinkra wisdom tradition. Their matrilineal society, rich oral history, and philosophy of communal life form the spiritual backbone of our organization.
Nigeria & Benin
The Yoruba Nation
One of the largest ethnic groups in Africa, the Yoruba gave the world Ifá divination, the Orisha tradition, and a rich artistic legacy that traveled across the Atlantic through the transatlantic slave trade.
South Africa
The Zulu Kingdom
The Zulu people's history of resistance, their warrior spirit, and their deep reverence for ancestors and community speak directly to the resilience that defines the African Diaspora.

The Nubian Civilization
Among the oldest civilizations on Earth, the Nubians of the Nile Valley built pyramids, ruled Egypt, and preserved knowledge that predates much of recorded history — a reminder of our ancient greatness.
